The legend

1981

Japanese businessman Kano Miura purchases a small plant for the production of stone products at auction and bought a deposit of granite. This is the beginning of the history of OMOIKIRI, which in Japanese means "determination." Kano considered this quality one of the most important for conducting business and establishing strong business relations with partners.

1983

When the production base was effectively strengthened, a serial production of exclusive kitchen sinks from noble rock and stainless steel starts at the plant. This ensured a brilliant success due to the absence in Japan of similar productions and high competition in this market.

1987

Kano Miura extends the OMOIKIRI product line and launches high-quality taps. The company creates its own unique design bureau with branches in the USA and Sweden.

1992

OMOIKIRI products enter the markets of Europe, America and Australia. Using an innovative design approach and new industrial technologies, the plant enteres production of sinks made of natural copper and brass. The determination and perseverance of Kano Miura, his special approach to the creation of sinks and taps makes it possible to start delivering his products to Europe and satisfy the tastes of the most demanding customers.

2002

Further development of OMOIKIRI goes over to Kano Miura’ s son - Sota Miura. The priority direction of his activity was to find his own ways of improving the quality and design of the products.

2009

Sota Miura leaves the company because of his wife's illness. The management of OMOIKIRI is entrusted to his uncle – Hidaji Miure – who had previously successfully headed the international department of the company.

2014

Orientation to foreign markets and a new development philosophy serves as the beginning of a fruitful partnership between OMOIKIRI and the Russian company ARTEKEY, which led to the merger of the two companies that presented the first joint product samples - sinks of artificial granite.

2016

A collection of kitchen sinks of ARTGRANIT® material, containing in its composition an ultra-strong polymer, which has no analogues in the market, has been developed. The commodity costs were significantly reduced, and the launch of new plant in the Moscow region allowed to optimize the working process and make the sinks affordable to the majority of customers. For the express purpose of European markets at the partner factory located in China there was also released a line of economy class taps.

2017

Today, OMOIKIRI and ARTEKEY continue to actively move forward: they break new markets, introduce innovative production technologies, improve the quality and design of products, and expand its range.
